Taking over the campsite has been a hugely exciting (and daunting!) prospect for us. We are a local couple, one of whom is a born and bred Edaleian, so the campsite and farm’s importance to its existing guests as well as the village as a whole is something we acknowledge and strive to preserve.
Newfold Farm is in need of renovation and our progress over the next few years will hopefully be fun to watch. One priority this season is to revamp the cafe. The Edale Wood-Fired Pizza Company will also be operating on site. We plan to serve pizza and food until early evening, expanding the choice of places to eat in the village for visitors. We want to make the cafe the ideal place to relax whilst contemplating/recovering from a long invigorating walk. Our shop, the Edale General Store will take on an exciting new look too and be stocking fruits, vegetables, meats and cheeses and a variety of drinks, larder items, a dried goods dispensary and other treats to help make your stay a happy one.

Over the next few years we have plans to rebuild the current toilet and shower block, extending into the farm buildings adjacent to it. These, currently derelict, buildings we plan to restore and turn into campsite facilities such as rooms for washing machines and an indoor kitchen. We’d also like to add in here some play facilities for children so watch this space!
Our heritage is as a farm and we plan to stay true to this through keeping animals. Albeit on a much smaller scale!
Whilst we’d love for you to come to witness Newfold Farm’s transformation in person, we will post updates on here so you can follow our progress from the comfort of your own sofa.
